국립공원공단 주왕산국립공원사무소(소장 설정욱)는 교육부가 추진하는 ‘2021년 교육기부 우수기관 및 동아리 인증제’에 신규로 선정됐다고 5일 밝혔다.

교육부가 선정하는 교육기부 우수기관은 기업·대학·공공기관·개인 등 사회가 보유한 인적·물적 자원을 ‘유·초·중등 교육활동’에 직접 활용하기 위해 인증 기준을 설정하고 심사를 통해 이를 달성한 기관을선정한다.

주왕산국립공원은 우리나라를 대표하는 국립공원으로 보는 이를 한눈에 사로잡는 암봉과 깊고 수려한 계곡이 빚어내는 절경을 간직한 영남 제1의 명승지이며 연간 100만명 이상이 방문한다.

국민들의 휴식처인 주왕산국립공원은 미래세대 환경교육(국립공원 숲 학교), 생태관광(농아인 수어해설, 스트레스 고위험군 힐링 캠프 등) 등 고품격 탐방 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
