취임식은 절차를 간소화한 정례조회 형식으로 민선 7기 군정발전 기여 유공자들에게 표창장 전달과 민선 8기 포부를 담은 샌드아트 라이브 공연, 예천군수에게 바라는 ‘각계각층의 군민 희망 바램’ 인터뷰 영상으로 대신했다. 

김 군수는 “민선 8기, 앞으로 4년도 군민의 목소리에 귀 기울이면서 변함없는 열정을 쏟겠다”며 예산 1조원, 일자리, 건강과 행복, 사람들이 찾아오는 도시 등 지역발전과 살기 좋은 예천을 만들기 위한 8대 주요 정책을 제시했다.
