【브레이크뉴스 】박은정 기자=우크라이나 국민의 공복당 소속 미하일로 라바, 예브겐 피보바로프 의원은 지난 4일 영남대학교의료원(의료원장 김종연)을 방문하고 보건의료부문 전후 재건을 위한 협력방안을 주요 관계자들과 논의했다.

5일, 대학에 따르면 이번 방문은 향후 우크라이나 전후 재건사업 보건의료부문 중 의료시설 복구와 신규 시설 설립사업의 추진을 영남대의료원과 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.

영남대의료원에서는 김종연 의료원장, 김용대 국제보건의료협력처장, 황태윤 영남대학교 환경보건대학원장 등 의료원 주요 관계자가 참석했다.

영남대의료원의 축적된 진료역량 및 연구성과, 다양하고 전문적인 진료영역, 최첨단 의료장비, 현재 추진 중인 국제보건사업 등에 대해 소개하는 시간을 가졌다.

우크라이나 국회의원 대표단은 심혈관 촬영실, 음압격리실, 건강증진센터, 권역호흡기전문질환센터, 권역응급의료센터, 호흡기 체험관, 재활의학센터와 국내 최초 일체형 암진단기 PET-MR, 지능형 방사선 암치료기 노발리스-TX 등 최첨단 의료장비 등을 둘러 보았다.

특히 대표단은 정신건강센터와 재활의학센터의 설립 및 운영에 대한 자문을 요청하였으며, 상호 협력 방안 등을 논의했다.

이번 의료원을 방문한 미하일로 라바 의원은 “따듯한 환대와 더불어 한국의 선진적인 의료시스템을 이해하는데 좋은 기회를 제공해 준 영남대의료원에 대해 감사드린다”며, “이번 방문을 계기로 영남대의료원과의 지속적인 교류와 협력을 통해 서로가 상생, 발전할 수 있기를 희망한다”고 전했다.

김종연 의료원장은 “대한민국도 70년 전 전쟁으로 나라가 황폐화되는 아픔이 있었다”고 공감을 표하며, “우크라이나 정부에서 계획하고 있는 전후 보건의료 시설 복구와 신규 의료시설 설립 사업에 있어 영남대의료원의 도움이 필요한 부분에 지원을 아끼지 않을 것”이라고 밝혔다.
