【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=대구지방고용노동청(청장 김규석)이 올해 시공예정인 대구·경북지역 태양광 발전소 공사 현장을 대상으로 안전조치 사전 점검·맞춤형 홍보활동에 나선다고 밝혔다.

2022년 관내 지붕공사 실시 중 추락하여 사망한 근로자는 6명이고, 그 중 태양광발전소 공사현장에서 4명(66%)이 발생했다.

재해원인은 채광창, 강판 등 부서지기 쉬운 지붕재 파손으로 추락하여 발생한 것으로 나타났으며 지붕작업 전 작업통로용 발판, 안전대 걸이시설 등 기본적인 안전조치 미실시로 발생한 안타까운 사고였다.

이에 대구지방고용노동청은 대구·경북 지자체 지원을 받아 태양광발전소 공사신고현장을 선제적으로 파악하고, 안전보건공단과 함께 지붕공사 착공 전 패트롤 점검 등 핵심 안전기준 준수 여부를 확인할 예정이다.

또 안전보건공단에서 실시하는 1억 미만 초소규모 건설현장을 대상 기술지원사업에 지붕공사 현장을 포함시켜, 사망사고 예방에 필요한 핵심 안전기준 지도 및 작업자 안전교육 등 안전사각지대를 해소할 예정이다. 

특히 한국에너지공단, 한국전기안전공사 등 공공기관과 태양광 관련 협회 등 민간단체를 통해 태양광발전소 시공업체 및 사업주를 대상으로 지붕공사 추락사고 예방에 대한 맞춤형 홍보를 실시한다.

김규석 대구지방고용노동청장은 “이번 협업을 통해 소규모 건설현장에 지붕공사 핵심 안전조치 등을 지도하고 맞춤형 홍보 활동을 강화하는 한편, 안전조치 위반 사망사고에 대해서는 엄중히 조사하여 처벌하겠다”고 밝혔다.
