【브레이크뉴스 경주】이성현 기자=경북문화관광공사(사장 김성조, 이하 공사)는 13일, 14일 양일간 경북관광기업지원센터 및 더케이호텔 등 경주 일원에서 2023 경북 워킹그룹 마이스 교육을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

공사에 따르면 이번 교육은 도내 마이스산업의 성장에 대응하여 현장 운영 지원인력 양성 및 관련 일자리 창출을 목적으로 진행됐다.

1일 차 교육에서는 마이스 중요성 및 성공사례, 경상북도 미래관광 개발 전략, 마이스산업의 기회와 도전, 컨벤션 실무, 전시회 실무 및 현장 운영 등 5가지 주제로 강의가 진행됐다.

이어 2일 차 교육은 △마이스산업과 사람, 도시, 국가 △경북 도시별 MICE 현황과 전략 △마이스 서비스 훈련 특강 등 3가지 주제로 강의가 진행됐다.

이번 교육을 수료한 한 참가자는 “평소 마이스산업에 흥미가 있어 신청하게 되었다”며 “이번 교육을 통해 마이스산업을 한층 더 이해하게 되었고 실무교육에 도움이 되는 내용을 많이 들을 수 있었다”고 말했다.

김성조 사장은 “경주시의 2025 APEC 유치전 참가 및 포항시의 국제전시컨벤션센터 건립 추진 등 경북 마이스산업이 활성화함에 따라 관련된 인력 수요도 증가할 것이다”며, “이번 교육을 수료한 분들이 도내 마이스 행사 현장 운영 전문 인력으로 거듭나길 바란다”고 말했다.

One participant who completed this training said, “I applied because I was interested in the MICE industry.

President Kim Seong-jo said, “Demand for related manpower will increase as the Gyeongbuk MICE industry is revitalized, such as participating in the 2025 APEC bid in Gyeongju and promoting the construction of an international exhibition and convention center in Pohang.” I want them to become professionals,” he said.
