【브레이크뉴스 경주】이성현 기자=경상북도(이하 도)와 경상북도문화관광공사(이하 공사)는‘2023∼2024 한국방문의 해’를 맞아 2023년 첫 대만-대구공항 운항 전세기 관광상품을 통해 경북에서 대만 관광객을 맞이한다고 25일 밝혔다.

이를 위해 공사는 지난해 11월 한국관광공사(이하 KTO)에서 주관하는 대만 현지 여행사 초청 팸투어와 연계하여 경북 홍보설명회를 개최했다.

특히 경주-안동-포항을 직접 방문하고 경북 홍보설명회를 통해 경북의 유네스코 세계유산, K-콘텐츠 촬영지, 액티비티 체험 관광지 등 경북만이 가진 특색을 홍보함과 아울러 전세기 운항 대구-경북 연계 상품개발을 위한 다양한 의견 또한 공유한 바 있다.

그 결과, 1월 19일부터 3월 20일까지 주 2회(월, 목) 총 18편의 전세기운항 대구-경북-부산연계 상품(3박4일, 4박5일) 모객이 시작될 예정이다.

19일에는 대만(가오슝)-대구공항으로 입국한 80여 명의 첫 관광객이 고즈넉한 정취를느낄 수 있는 경주 교촌 한옥마을을 시작으로, 경주 필수야경명소인월정교(백등체험) 및 동궁과 월지를 방문한 후 한화리조트에서 숙박을 하고,다음날 유네스코 세계문화유산인 불국사를 거쳐 경주의 핫플레이스로 뜨고 있는 황리단길을 방문했다.

김성조 사장은 “지난 경북 홍보설명회를 통해 대만 전세기를 유치한 것은 경북의 관광산업이 이전과 다른 활기찬 모습을 보여주게 될 시작점이자 큰 성과”이며 “‘2023∼2024 한국방문의 해’가 시작된 만큼, 2023년은 경북 관광이 새롭게 도약할 수 있는 한 해가 될 수 있게 다방면의 마케팅 활동을 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
