【브레이크뉴스 대구 】이성현 기자 = 대구시가 영업용 화물자동차의 불법 밤샘 주차 단속에 나선다. 대구시는 이를 위해 집중단속 구역을 설정하고, 그간 코로나 19감염병 등으로 인해 완화됐던 불법 밤샘주차 단속을 강화해 대시민 교통안전 확보에 나선다고 밝혔다.
단속은 26일부터 다음 달 8일까지며, 대상은 0시~4시까지 지정된 차고지 외 1시간 이상 주택가 도로 등에 주차하는 차량이다. 대구시는 지난 2023년 총 817건의 불법 밤샘주차를 적발하고 계도 및 행정처분 조치했다. 그러나 여전히 학교 인근 및 주택 밀집 지역 등의 불법 밤샘주차로 인해 시민들이 불편함을 겪고 있는 것으로 파악하고, 구·군별로 학교 및 주택가 밀집 지역 12곳을 위주로 해당 구역에서 불법 밤샘주차로 인해 적발되는 사업주에 대해서는 영업정지(5일) 또는 10~20만원의 과징금을 부과 조치할 예정이다.
현재 대구광역시에 등록된 영업용 화물자동차 허가 대수는 2023년 12월 31일 기준, 모두 2만 2천381대이며, 이 중 차고지 설치 의무 대상인 1.5톤 초과 차량이 총 1만 3천784대로 절반을 넘는다. 이 가운데 6천250대는 대구에 차고지를, 7천534대는 경산과 고령 등 대구시 인근에 차고지를 두고 있다.
