지난달 24일, 25일 양재 AT센터에서 ‘2024년 전국영양사학술대회’가 개최됐다.
대구가톨릭대 김소연 씨는 ‘학교급식에서 제공되는 후식의 제공량 및 당함량 분석’을 주제의 연구로 우수논문초록상을 수상했다.
연구는 학생들의 비만과 영양불균형을 초래할 수 있는 후식의 당 함량 문제를 밝혀내고, 학교급식에서 당 저감화를 실천하는 데 중요한 기초자료를 제공해 우수한 평가를 받았다.
김소연 씨는 “대학원 진학 전 9년간 학교 등 기관에서 영양사로 근무하면서 당 섭취 문제에 대해 인지하고 있었다”며 “석사 과정을 마친 후 다시 영양사로 활동해 학생들의 건강에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
