이홍중 회장은 신년 인사를 통해 “지난해 우리 경제는 저성장 국면 지속에 국가적 혼란 상황까지 더해져 경제의 불확실성이 어느 때보다 높아지고 있으며 수익성 있는 사업장의 발굴이 갈수록 어려워지고 있는바, 보다 치밀하고 혁신적인 공사관리와 사업 관리가 요구된다”라고 말했다.

이어 “미국 테슬라의 CEO 일론 머스크가 스스로 나노(Nano)매니저”라고 규정하듯이 “리스크를 기꺼이 감내하고 도전하되 디테일한 부분에서 문제점을 찾아내고 완성도를 높여 리스크를 돌파해야 한다”라고 말하며 새해 화두로 大觀細察(대관세찰)을

HXD화성개발은 지난해 화원초 외 3개교, 영주여중, 안동대 시설 개선 등 BTL 사업에서 우선 협상자로 선정되어 실시 설계 중이며, 12월 초에는 경기도 이천시 보은아파트·연립주택 소규모재건축사업 토지등소유자 전체회의에서 95%의 찬성으로 시공사로 선정되어 현재 도급계약 협의 중에 있다.

이 외에도 서울 장위동 공공지원 민간임대, 온수역 청년 안심주택 등의 사업에 시공 참여하여 올해 상반기 중 착공을 목표로 하고 있다. 또한 지난 12월 31에는 충북도청 후생복지관 건립사업을 수주하여 도급계약을 체결하는 등 수도권 역외시장 공략에서 가시적인 성과를 내고 있으며 신규사업 추진도 적극적으로 계획하고 있다.

또한 지난 연말에는 안전 경영 대상, 가족친화기업 인증, 국토교통부 신기술 지정(제1004호) 등을 잇따라 취득하여 대외 공신력과 기업가치를 드높였다.
