지난 8월 29일 교육부 정보공시 사이트 ‘대학알리미’에 공개된 2024년 전문대학 장학금 수혜 현황에 따르면, 구미대는 학생 1인당 연평균 장학금 572만 원으로 전국 전문대 1위를 기록했다. 이는 구미대 연평균 등록금(586만 원)의 97%에 달하는 수준으로, 학생들의 실질적인 등록금 부담은 한 학기 평균 10만 원 정도에 불과하다.
구미대는 2018년부터 2021년까지 장학금 지급률이 등록금 대비 80% 이상을 유지했으며, 2022년에는 90%를 돌파했다. 2024년에는 역대 최고치인 97%를 기록하며 학생들의 경제적 부담 완화에 기여했다.
