【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=국민의힘경북도당(위원장 이만희)은 지난 10월에 이어 ‘국민의힘 봉사의 날’봉사활동을 4일 경북 포항시 북구 청하면에 소재 포항시 장애인재활작업장에서 실시했다고 밝혔다.

경북도당 장애인위원회(위원장 박선하) 주관으로 실시한 이날 봉사활동에는 장애인위원회 당직자를 비롯한 경북도당 당직자 30여명이 작업장을 찾아 위문품을 전달하고 봉사활동을 펼쳤다.

이번 봉사활동은 국민의힘이 매월 1회 ‘국민의힘 봉사의 날’을 지정하여 전 당원과 함께하는 봉사활동을 통해 하나 되고 화합하며 국민과 소통하는 계기를 마련하기 위해 마련됐다.

박선하 도당장애인위원장은 이날 봉사활동을 마치고 인사말을 통해 “이번 봉사의 날 행사를 맞아 지역장애인과 이웃들에게 어려움을 극복하고 서로서로 돕고 함께 행복을 이루어 갈 수 있는 계기가 되었으면 한다.”

“누구보다 장애인들의 고충을 잘 알고 있는 도당 장애인위원회에서 앞장서 어려움을 겪고 있는 경북 장애인들에게 도움이 되고자 많은 노력을 하고 있다. 앞으로도 지속적인 활동을 통해 우리 사회에서 장애인들이 함께 잘 살아갈 수 있도록 노력을 하겠다. 또한 장애인들의 권익 신장을 위해 제도적 장치를 마련할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다.” 고 참여 소회를 밝혔다.

이번 행사에는 경북도당 뿐 아니라 경북 내 13개 당원협의회도 동참하여 각 지역에서 봉사활동을 이어갔다.

앞으로도 경북도당은 매월 첫째 주에 정기적으로 도당 상설위원회를 중심으로 지속적인 봉사활동을 펼쳐 나갈 계획이다.
