울릉군의회(의장 최경환)는 12일 생활 속 플라스틱 사용을 줄이기 위한 탈(脫) 플라스틱 실천 운동인 ‘고! 고! 챌린지’에 동참했다.

‘고! 고! 챌린지‘는 지난 1월 4일 환경부 장관을 시작으로 생활 속 불필요한 플라스틱과 일회용품 사용을 줄이기 위해 진행되고 있는 캠페인으로 생활 속 ‘우리가 해야 할 일 1가지’와 ‘하지 말아야 할 1가지’실천을 다짐한 후 다음 참여자를 지목하는 방식으로 진행된다.

김은수 예천군의회의장의 지명으로 참여한 최 의장은 '플라스틱 거절하GO, 텀블러 사용하GO'라는 실천 메시지를 전했고, 다음 참여자로 NH농협은행 울릉군지부장 전병택, 울릉문화원장 최수영을 지목했다.

최 의장은 ‘자연환경과 생태계파괴의 주범인 플라스틱을 줄이기 위해 일상 속 작은 습관을 꾸준히 실천 하겠다’며 ‘울릉군민 여러분께서도 플라스틱과 일회용품 사용을 줄이기 노력에 적극 동참해 주시길 부탁드린다‘고 말했다.
