한국뇌연구원(원장 서판길)과 치매극복연구개발사업단(단장 목인희 서울대의대 교수)이 치매극복 공동 연구를 위한 협력을 강화하는 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 협약으로 양 기관은 혁신적 치매 연구주제 발굴 및 공동연구 협력과 첨단 뇌연구 인프라 공동 활용, 뇌연구 빅데이터 구축 , 관련 제반연구 협력 등 다각적인 협력을 바탕으로 치매로 인한 사회적 부담을 완화하는 데 기여해 나가기로 했다.

한국뇌연구원 서판길 원장은“초고령 사회로 치매를 비롯한 다양한 퇴행성 뇌질환이 사회적 문제되는 현실에서 양 기관이 협력하여‘국가치매책임제 구현’에 기여, 미래 첨단 뇌연구를 활성화 할 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다.
