【브레이크뉴스 청송】이성현 기자=청송군(군수 윤경희)은 7일, 8일 양일간 청송군 얼음골에서 ‘2023 노스페이스컵 청송 전국 아이스클라이밍 선수권대회’를 개최한다고 5일 밝혔다.

3년 만에 개최되는 이번 대회는 국내 최고 선수 120여 명이 참가해 서로의 기량을 겨루며 우승 트로피를 놓고 각축을 벌일 예정이다.

이번 대회는 14일 ~ 15일 개최되는 청송 아이스클라이밍 월드컵&아시아선수권 대회의 국가대표 선발전으로 국내의 내로라하는 선수들 참가한다.

특히 대회장에는 청송 농특산물 및 관광홍보 등 다양한 전시 행사도 마련되어 있으며, 경기벽 뒤쪽에 얼음빙벽을 조성하여 관람객들에게 다양한 볼거리도 제공한다.

윤경희 청송군수는 “청송 전국 아이스클라이밍 선수권대회를 시작으로 청송아이스클라이밍 월드컵& 아시아선수권 대회, 104회 전국동계체육대회 산악부문 아이스클라이밍 경기 등 한 달간 이어지는 아이스클라이밍 대회를 통해 ‘아이스클라이밍의 성지’, ‘산악스포츠 메카’, ‘산소카페 청송군’의 브랜드가치가 더욱 높아질 것”이라고 말했다.
