【브레이크뉴스 대구 】박은정 기자= 대구보건환경연구원은 최근 소규모 어린이집 23개소를 대상으로 실내공기질 무료검사를 실시했다고 7일 밝혔다.
이번 실내공기질 무료검사는 ‘실내공기질 관리법’ 법적 관리 대상이 아닌 관내 소규모 어린이집(연면적 430㎡이하) 23개소에서 신청을 받아 실시했다.
그 결과 19개 시설은 ‘실내공기질 관리법’의 관리대상 어린이집 및 어린이 놀이시설 실내공기질 관리 기준에 적합했고, 4개 시설은 일부 항목에서 기준치를 초과한 것으로 나타났다.
검사 항목은 미세먼지(PM-10), 초미세먼지(PM-2.5), 이산화탄소, 폼알데하이드, 총부유세균 등 5개 항목으로 기준 초과는 주로 겨울철 환기 부족으로 인한 이산화탄소, 총부유세균이었다.
기준 초과 시설 4개소에 대해서는 연구원들이 다시 시설을 방문해 원인 진단 및 효과적인 실내공기질 관리 방안을 알려 주었고 재검사를 실시해 모두 기준에 적합하게 관리되고 있는 것을 확인했다.
고복실 대구시 보건환경연구원장은 “면역력이 약한 어린이들이 주로 이용하는 어린이집 시설은 실내공기질 관리가 매우 중요한데 주기적인 환기를 통해 실내공기가 쾌적하게 관리 되도록 주의해야 한다”며 “앞으로도 관리 대상 외 시설에 대해서도 지속적으로 관심을 기울이겠다”고 말했다.
