DGFEZ는 작년 11월 싱가포르 IR에서 접촉한 싱가포르보조로봇협회(Asia Pacific Assistive Robotics Association, 이하 APARA)와 대구시 5대 신성장 산업 중 하나인 로봇산업 대상 FDI 유치 관련 업무협력을지속해서 추진해오던 중, 협력의 일환으로 고양 킨텍스에서 개최하는 ‘2024 로보월드’에 참가하는 APARA 멤버 기업을 대상으로 투자유치설명회를 개최하기로 했다.

오는 10월 23부터 26일까지 4일간 고양 킨텍스에서 개최되는‘2024 로보월드’는 13개국에서 271개사가 참가하는 대규모 로봇관련전시회로 APARA에서는 매년 협회 멤버들과 사절단을 구성하여 부스 설치 및 운영을 위하여 참석한다.

특히 DGFEZ와 협력중인 APARA 명예고문인 올리버 티안(Oliver Tian)은 국내 다수의 투자 및 로봇 관련 기관(KOTRA, 한국로봇산업진흥원, 글로벌로봇클러스터, 대경로봇기업진흥협회 등)과 밀접한 업무협력 관계를 유지하고 있는 로봇 전문가이며 이번 투자유치 설명회 개최에 핵심적인 역할을 수행했다.

총 10개국(싱가포르, 캐나다, 이스라엘, 핀란드, 대만, 중국, 말레이시아,인도네시아, 필리핀, 캄보디아)에서 25명의 기업인이 참가하는 이번 투자유치 설명회에 DGFEZ는 경제자유구역의 투자환경과 인센티브, 대구시의 로봇관련 주요 정책 등을 소개한다.

또한 대구에 소재한 국책기관인한국로봇산업진흥원에서도 참석하여 기업지원 사업에 대해 발표를 준비할예정으로 행사 이후에는 가벼운 만찬 네트워킹 행사를 통한 투자유치 IR 활동을 추진할 계획이다.

김병삼 대구경북경제자유구역청장은 “대구시 5대신성장 산업 중 하나인로봇산업은 한국로봇산업진흥원 대구 유치 및테크노폴리스 로봇테스트필드 지정 등의 기회를 활용하여 기업을 유치하기에 가장 적합한 타깃산업으로 보인다”며, “올해는 고양시에서 설명회를개최하지만 내년에는 대구형 CES 「FIX 2025」와 연계하여 잠재 투자기업을대구로 초청, 경자구역시찰 등을 통한 FDI 유치 활성화에 노력하겠다”라고말했다.
