이번 성금은 최근 산불로 특별재난지역으로 선포된 경북 지역의 피해 복구와 이재민 지원을 위한 것으로, 포스코 포항제철소 파트너사협회가 중심이 되어 협력사들이 뜻을 모았다.
기탁에 참여한 협력사는 ㈜포롤텍(대표이사 김재열), ㈜화인텍(대표이사 구헌록), ㈜장원(대표이사 권영철), ㈜에스앤지(대표이사 우기택), 동일기업㈜(대표이사 송광호), 그린산업㈜(대표이사 이기욱) 등 총 29개 사로, 이들은 성금을 ‘희망브리지 전국재해구호협회’에 기탁할 예정이다.
이번 성금은 산불 피해 지역의 긴급구호 및 복구 활동, 이재민에게 필요한 생필품 지원, 주거 안전 확보 등에 사용될 계획이다.
김재열 포스코 포항제철소 파트너사협회 회장은 “갑작스러운 산불로 큰 피해를 입은 지역 주민들이 하루빨리 건강을 회복하고 일상으로 돌아갈 수 있도록 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
한편, 포스코 포항제철소 파트너사협회와 협력사 29개사는 2017년 11월에도 포항지진 피해 복구를 위한 성금을 ‘희망브리지 전국재해구호협회’에 기탁한 바 있다.
