【브레이크뉴스 경북】이성현 기자=경상북도 소방본부는 지난해 설 연휴 기간 화재 관련 출동이 총 235건에 달했다며, 명절 기간 도민들의 각별한 주의를 당부했다.

소방본부에 따르면 최근 3년간(2023~2025년) 설 연휴 동안 도내에서 발생한 화재는 총 134건으로, 하루 평균 9.5건의 화재가 발생한 것으로 집계됐다. 특히 지난해 설 연휴에는 59건의 화재가 발생했으며, 이 가운데 절반 이상이 부주의에 따른 화재로 나타났다.

발화 원인을 분석한 결과 ▲부주의 33건(55.9%) ▲전기적 요인 13건(22.0%) ▲기계적 요인 5건(8.5%) ▲기타 8건(13.6%) 순으로 집계돼, 생활 속 안전관리 미흡이 주요 원인으로 지목됐다.

화재 발생 건수는 전년 대비 증가했으며, 인명피해는 1명으로 전년과 동일한 수준을 유지했다. 반면 재산피해는 23억4,083만 원에서 35억7,985만 원으로 12억3,902만 원 증가해 피해 규모는 확대된 것으로 나타났다.

소방본부는 설 연휴 기간 조리 활동 증가, 전열기기 사용 확대, 장시간 외출 등으로 화재 위험이 높아진다고 분석하고, 예방수칙 준수를 당부했다.
