한국한의약진흥원(원장 정창현)은 ‘2021 글로벌 전통의약 협력을 위한 국제컨퍼런스’가 오는 11월 8일부터 10일까지 실시간 온라인으로 개최된다고 25일 밝혔다.

이번 온라인 국제컨퍼런스는 코로나19로 인한 보건의료 환경 변화에 전통‧보완대체의약의 역할을 제시하기 위한 마련됐으며 ‘팬데믹과 그 이후, 보건의료시스템 내 전통‧보완통합의약의 역할’을 주제로 열린다.

이번 국제컨퍼런스에는 13개국 50여 명의 국내‧외 저명인사가 발표자 및 좌장으로 참여한다.

특히 미국 애리조나 대학교 앤드류 웨일 통합의학센터 설립자이자 센터장인 앤드류 웨일(Andrew Weil) 박사와 한국한의학연구원 원장을 역임한 경희대학교 한의과대학 이혜정 명예교수가 기조연사로 참여하여 전통‧보완통합의학의 미래 역할에 대해 강연할 예정이다.
