【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)는 10일 겨울방학을 맞아 운영한 글로벌 전공실습 및 한국문화체험 프로그램과 글로벌 보건직업역량 Growing 해외 어학연수의 성료 소식을 알렸다.

대구보건대 국제교류원은 지난달 5일부터 18일까지 필리핀 현지 자매대학인 LPU(Lyceum of the Philippines University)의 재학생들을 초청해 글로벌 전공실습 및 한국문화체험 프로그램을 운영했다고 10일 밝혔다.

LPU대학 학생들은 2주간 대구보건대에서 전공수업, 한국어수업, 한국문화체험 등을 진행했다. 또, 대구보건대병원에서 병원 투어 및 현장실습을 통해 최첨단 실습환경과 우수한 교육과정을 경험했다.

김경용 국제교류원장은 “대구보건대병원의 최첨단 장비와 선진화된 기술에 놀라워하며 체계적인 실습교육을 통해 필리핀 학생들의 만족도가 매우 높았다.”며 “코로나 이후 처음 실시한 이번 프로그램에 보람을 느꼈고 아울러 지속적인 교류가 이어지길 바란다.”고 전했다.

지난 1월에는 취업 지향 외국어교육 우수 수강생으로 선발된 재학생 10명이 3주간 필리핀 현지 LPU 대학으로 어학연수를 떠났다.

전문대학혁신지원사업의 일환으로 실시한 글로벌 보건직업역량 Growing 해외 어학연수 및 전공실습 프로그램은 해외 자매대학과의 교류 증진으로 재학생 글로벌 전공 경쟁력을 강화하고 세계 수준의 인재를 양성하기 위해 마련되었다.

프로그램에 참가한 학생들은 영어 교육뿐 아니라 현지 병원에서 인턴실습을 진행하며 현장 실무역량과 글로벌 의사소통 역량을 키우는 경험에 만족감을 드러냈다.

간호학과 이소정 학생(19)은 “필리핀 학생들과 함께 수업을 듣고 현지 병원에서 인턴실습을 진행하며 외국의 의료시설과 치료 과정을 볼 수 있는 특별한 경험으로 해외 취업의 꿈에 한 발짝 더 다가선 것 같다.”며 소감을 전했다.

The students who participated in the program showed satisfaction with the experience of developing field work and global communication skills through intern practice at local hospitals as well as English education.

Nursing student Sojeong Lee (19) said, “I feel like I am one step closer to my dream of getting a job abroad through the special experience of taking classes with Filipino students, conducting an internship at a local hospital, and seeing medical facilities and treatment processes in foreign countries. ”he said.
