고령화 시대를 맞아 급증하는 파크골프 수요에 대응하기 위해 마련된 이번 전공은 재활, 운동치료, 신경조절훈련을 융합한 실습 중심 커리큘럼으로 주목받고 있다. 최근 4년간 등록 인구가 4배 이상 늘어난 파크골프는 중장년층과 노년층을 중심으로 새로운 생활체육 종목으로 부상하고 있다.

대구보건대는 전용 야외 실습장을 구축하고, 전문 교수진의 밀착 지도 아래 파크골프 기술과 건강운동, 재활치료가 융합된 교육을 운영한다. 단순 기술 교육을 넘어 반복적 스윙과 편측 회전으로 인한 근골격계 손상 예방을 위해 ▲척추측만증 교정 ▲골반 비대칭 개선 ▲코어 안정성을 위한 ‘골프 필라테스’ ▲뇌 가소성 향상 감각훈련 ▲시각-운동 협응 훈련 등 신경근 조절 운동을 체계적으로 포함해 국내 유일의 융합 교육모델로 평가받고 있다.

이를 통해 졸업생은 파크골프 지도자 자격과 함께 시니어 건강관리 및 재활운동 전문가로서의 역량도 함께 갖추게 된다.

교육 과정은 주 3회 수업으로 운영되며, 직장인과 시니어 학습자의 접근성을 높이기 위해 주간반과 야간반이 모두 개설된다. 또한 신입생에게는 첫 학기 등록금 전액 면제, 이후 학기 반액 장학금 등 파격적인 장학 혜택이 제공된다. 산학협력도 활발히 추진 중으로, 파크골프협회, 스크린 파크골프 기업, 지역 복지기관 등과 연계해 졸업 후 취업까지 지원한다.

This major, which was created to respond to the rapidly increasing demand for park golf in the aging society, is attracting attention with its practice-centered curriculum that combines rehabilitation, exercise therapy, and neuroregulation training. Park golf, whose enrollment has more than quadrupled in the past four years, is emerging as a new lifestyle sport centered on the middle-aged and elderly.

Daegu Health College has built a dedicated outdoor practice facility and operates education that combines park golf skills, health exercise, and rehabilitation therapy under the close guidance of professional faculty. Beyond simple technical training, it systematically includes neuromuscular control exercises such as ▲ scoliosis correction ▲ pelvic asymmetry improvement ▲ ‘Golf Pilates’ for core stability ▲ sensory training to improve brain plasticity ▲ visual-motor coordination training to prevent musculoskeletal damage caused by repetitive swings and unilateral rotation, and is evaluated as the only integrated education model in Korea.

Through this, graduates will acquire the qualifications of park golf instructors as well as the capabilities of senior health management and rehabilitation exercise experts.

The curriculum is operated with three classes per week, and both day and night classes are offered to increase accessibility for working people and senior learners. In addition, new students are provided with exceptional scholarship benefits such as full tuition exemption for the first semester and half-tuition scholarships for subsequent semesters.
