【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)가 ‘제26회 헌혈축제 대구보건인과 함께하는 헌혈 사랑 나눔’ 행사를 성료했다고 22일 밝혔다.

21일 대학 본관 1층과 헌혈버스, 교내 헌혈의 집에서 진행된 축제에는 재학생과 교직원, 동문 등 450여 명 이상이 참여하며 성황을 이뤘다.

대구보건대학교의 헌혈축제는 1999년부터 ‘대구시민과 함께하는 헌혈행사’를 발전시킨 행사로 26년간 3만 400여 명이 넘는 학생과 시민들이 헌혈에 동참했다.

올해 헌혈축제는 30분 단위 사전예약 시스템으로 대기시간을 최소화했으며 릴레이 형식으로 진행됐다. 헌혈자는 봉사활동 6시간을 인정받는다.

축제기간에는 대한적십자사 대구경북혈액원이 헌혈 침대를 설치하는 등 헌혈축제를 도왔다. 이밖에도 헌혈증서 기증자를 위한 문화상품권, 헬스센터이용권, 보현연수원 할인권 경품추첨과 뷰티코디네이션학과의 타투체험 등 다양한 이벤트가 마련돼 참여자들에게 큰 호응을 얻었다.

대구보건대학교는 헌혈축제를 기념해 대한적십자사에 헌혈증서 천사매(1,004매)를 기증하는 뜻 깊은 행사를 가지기도 했다.

헌혈에 참여한 김미정 학생은 “헌혈을 마친 후 기증한 혈액이 누군가의 생명을 구할 수 있다는 생각에 큰 자부심을 느꼈다”며 “직접 이웃사랑을 실천할 수 있어 뿌듯했고 앞으로도 주기적으로 헌혈을 해야겠다고 다짐하게 됐다”며 참여 소감을 전했다.

남성희 대구보건대학교 총장은 “지속적으로 헌혈을 받아야 하는 환자들에게 헌혈은 사랑과 나눔을 실천할 수 있는 가장 구체적인 방법 중 하나”라며 “앞으로도 대구보건대학교는 지역사회와 함께 생명 나눔 활동인 헌혈축제를 지속적으로 펼쳐나갈 것이다”라고 말했다.
