이날 행사는 재학생과 교직원 등 500여명이 참석한 가운데 대한적십자사 대구경북혈액원과 함께 본관 1층 로비에 헌혈 침대 10대, 헌혈버스 4대, 교내 헌혈의 집에서 릴레이 형식으로 이뤄졌다. 헌혈자에게는 6시간의 봉사시간이 인정되며 헌혈증서 기증자를 위한 기념품 증정과 경품추천 등 다양한 이벤트도 제공했다.

대학은 행사로 모아진 헌혈증서를 백혈병 소아암 환자를 위해 사용할 계획이다.
