【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)가 중장년층의 경력 회복과 자립을 지원하기 위한 프로그램 개발에 본격적으로 나섰다.

대학은 지난 3일부터 4일까지 양일간 경남 밀양 보현연수원에서 ‘중장년 다시이음 프로그램 개발 워크숍’을 개최했다고 4일 밝혔다.

이번 워크숍은 대구보건대학교 직업이음센터와 노사발전재단이 공동 주관했으며, 중장년 지원 실무자 등 관계자 35명이 참여해 중장년층을 위한 실질적인 고용 연계 프로그램 개발을 위한 심도 깊은 논의가 이루어졌다.

행사에서는 정서 회복 활동과 기관 간 교류를 통해 중장년층 지원에 있어 취업 중심을 넘어선 심리적·사회적 통합 지원의 중요성이 강조됐다. 참가자들은 지역 자원 탐색 활동으로 표충사 등을 방문하고, 자유토론을 통해 각 기관의 현장 사례를 공유하며 실질적 협업 방안과 ‘직업이음’ 모델의 실행 가능성을 논의했다.

이현영 직업이음센터장(학생상담센터장)은 “중장년 실무자들이 한자리에 모여 지역 특성과 경험을 바탕으로 협력 방안을 고민한 뜻깊은 시간이었다”며 “앞으로도 대학이 중장년의 일상 회복과 사회 연결에 적극 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 대구보건대학교 직업이음센터는 교육부의 글로컬대학30 프로젝트에 따라 지역 맞춤형 고등직업교육의 허브로서 역할을 수행하고 있다. 특히 ‘이음’ 프로젝트를 통해 보건, 복지, 고용 분야를 아우르는 통합적 지원 체계를 구축해 다양한 계층의 사회 재진입을 돕는 데 주력하고 있다.

Daegu Health College Completes ‘Workshop’ on Developing a Tailored Employment Linkage Model for the Middle-aged and Elderly

Daegu Health College (President Nam Seong-hee) has begun developing a program to support the career recovery and independence of the middle-aged and elderly. The college announced on the 4th that it held a ‘Middle-aged and Elderly Reconnection Program Development Workshop’ at the Bohyeon Training Center in Miryang, Gyeongnam for two days from the 3rd to the 4th.

This workshop was co-hosted by Daegu Health College’s Career Linkage Center and the Labor-Management Development Foundation, and 35 people, including middle-aged and elderly support practitioners, participated in an in-depth discussion on developing a practical employment linkage program for the middle-aged and elderly.

The event emphasized the importance of psychological and social integration support beyond employment-centered support for the middle-aged and elderly through emotional recovery activities and exchanges between institutions. Participants visited Pyochungsa Temple as part of a local resource exploration activity, shared field cases from each institution through open discussions, and discussed practical collaboration plans and the feasibility of the ‘career linkage’ model.

Lee Hyun-young, Director of the Job Connection Center (Director of the Student Counseling Center), said, “It was a meaningful time for middle-aged and older practitioners to come together and think about ways to cooperate based on regional characteristics and experiences,” and added, “The university will continue to actively contribute to the recovery of middle-aged and older people’s daily lives and social connections.”

Meanwhile, Daegu Health College’s Job Connection Center is serving as a hub for regional customized higher vocational education in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s Global University 30 Project. In particular, through the ‘Connect’ project, it is focusing on helping various classes re-enter society by establishing an integrated support system encompassing health, welfare, and employment.
