【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희) 교수학습지원센터는 10월 14일(수) 오후 2시 본관 3층 대회의실에서 공무원 시험에 관심 있는 학생들을 대상으로 보건의료분야 공무원 진로와 직업에 대한 특강을 실시했다고 16일 밝혔다.

이번 특강은 전문대학 혁신지원사업 일환으로 보건의료분야 공무원에 대한 실질적인 가이드 안을 제시하여 진로와 직업에 고민 있는 재학생들에게 명쾌한 해답을 주기 위해 마련했다.

이날 특강은 대구보건대를 졸업한 국립포항검역소 황영원(1990년도 보건행정과 졸업)소장과 간호직 8급 합격자 우윤혁(2020년도 간호학과 졸업)씨를 초청해 진행됐다.

먼저 특강을 시작한 황 소장은 보건의료분야 공무원 시험 종류와 다양한 직렬을 소개했다. 또 보건의료 분야 공무원이라는 관점에서 사회적 책임감과 소명의식 등에 대해 이야기 했다. 끝으로 학생들에게 자신의 적성과 성향에 맞는 직렬을 선택했다면, 전문지식에 대해 깊이 있고 자신감 있게 공부하라고 조언하고 격려를 아끼지 않았다.

이후 우씨는 간호직 공무원 시험 합격을 위한 학습전략을 소개하며 이어나갔다. 그는 공무원 시험 준비에 사용한 일정표를 공개하고 최종 목표를 향해 나아가기 위해선 작은 목표라도 매일 완수해가며 포기하지 않는 것이 중요하다며 후배들에게 자신만의 공부 노하우와 TIP을 공유했다.

행사를 주관한 교수학습지원센터장 이영은(치위생과)교수는“어려운 시기 보건의료분야에서 국가직 공무원으로 역할과 소명을 다하는 졸업 선배의 특강은 공무원 시험에 도전하는 후배들에게 강한 학습동기부여가 될 것이다”다 며“최상의 학습 분위기와 효율적인 학습 관리로 보건직 공무원을 꿈꾸는 학생들의 도전과 열정에 결실을 맺을 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.

한편 대구보건대 교수학습지원센터는 공직을 선호하는 최근 사회 변화와 직업의 다양화를 지원하기 위해 공직역량강화반을 운영한다. 지난 6월 임상병리과, 방사선과, 치위생과, 치기공과, 물리치료과, 간호학과, 보건행정과 등 7개학과를 대상으로 2기 공직역량강화반 참가자 40명을 선발하고 개강식을 진행했다. 학생들에게는 공무원 시험 대비에 필요한 전 과목 동영상 강좌, 관리형 열람실, 맞춤형 상담을 제공한다. 또, 학생이 졸업을 하더라도 보건직공무원 시험이 매년 6월경 일정이 있고, 보건의료인면허증이 있어야만 응시자격이나 가산점이 주어지는 것을 감안해 시험 응시 전까지 교육 환경을 계속 지원할 방침이다.
