㈜서한은 지난 2월 5일 ‘대전도시철도 2호선 연축차량기지 건설공사’ 계약 체결 사실을 발표했다. 해당 사업은 대전광역시 대덕구 연축동 일원에 종합관리동과 경정비검수고 등을 조성해 트램 관제 및 유지·정비 기능을 수행하는 시설을 구축하는 공사다. 총 사업비는 약 451억 원 규모다.
이번 사업은 대중교통 수요 증가와 충청권 광역철도 건설에 따른 환승체계 구축 필요성이 확대되면서 ‘종합평가낙찰제’ 방식으로 추진됐다. 특히 대전도시철도 2호선 트램 15개 공구 중 마지막 구간으로, 향후 관제와 유지·정비를 총괄하는 핵심 거점 역할을 수행할 것으로 평가된다.

이와 함께 지난 6일에는 턴키(설계·시공 일괄입찰) 방식의 ‘영주차량사업소 EMU-150 경정비시설 개량사업공사’ 낙찰에도 성공했다고 밝혔다. EMU-150은 시속 150km급 전기동차로 기존 새마을·무궁화 객차를 대체할 간선형 전동차다.
해당 공사는 경정비동 외 부대동 5,995㎡ 신설, 선로 2,083m 신설 및 기존 선로 2,439m 철거, 전차선(OCS) 4,423m 구축, 신호·전력·통신 등 운영설비 전반의 일괄 개선을 포함한다. 총 사업비는 약 635억 원이다. 업계에서는 이번 사업이 영주를 넘어 중부 내륙권 철도 인프라 경쟁력 강화에 기여할 것으로 보고 있다.
