행정안전부는 매년 전국 지방자치단체를 대상으로 혁신역량, 혁신성과, 자율지표(대표 혁신과제·국민체감도) 등 3개 항목, 10개 세부 지표를 종합 평가해 ‘우수·보통·미흡’ 3단계로 등급을 부여하고 있다. 평가 결과에 따라 우수기관에는 정부 표창이 수여된다.
예천군은 혁신활동 참여와 성과 확산 노력, 주민 소통·참여 강화, 민·관 협력 활성화, 국민 체감도 등 주요 지표에서 고르게 높은 점수를 획득했다. 특히 주민 체감형 정책 추진과 협업 기반 행정 운영이 실질적 성과로 이어졌다는 점에서 의미가 크다는 평가다.
군 관계자는 “이번 성과는 공직자와 군민이 함께 지역 발전을 위해 공감하고 협력한 결과”라며 “앞으로도 군민이 일상에서 체감할 수 있는 혁신 정책을 지속 발굴하고 선진 행정 구현에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 예천군은 중앙·광역·민간 평가에서 2022년 49건, 2023년 52건, 2024년 55건, 2025년 66건으로 4년 연속 수상 건수가 증가했다. 매년 자체 최고 실적을 경신하며 경북 내 혁신 선도 지자체로서 입지를 강화하고 있다.
