경상북도와 경상북도체육회가 주최하고 안동시와 예천군이 공동 개최한 이번 대회는 지난 3일부터 6일까지 도내 22개 시·군 선수단과 임원 1만 2천여 명이 참가해 치열한 경쟁을 펼쳤다.

폐회식은 ‘전통의 울림, 힙한 에너지가 되다’를 주제로 선반 풍물과 탈춤 공연 등 지역 문화유산을 현대적으로 재해석한 무대로 시작됐다. 이어 대회 하이라이트 영상 상영, 종합성적 발표 및 시상, 대회기 하강과 차기 개최지 전달, 성화 소화 순으로 진행됐으며, 가수 박서진과 윤윤서의 축하공연이 분위기를 달궜다.

이번 대회에서 예천군은 육상 2연패를 비롯해 배구, 테니스 등 전통 강세 종목과 더불어 취약 종목에서도 고른 성과를 거두며 군부 종합우승을 차지했다. 총점 144.3점을 기록해 전년도 우승팀 칠곡군(127.5점)을 제치고 21년 만에 정상에 오르는 성과를 거뒀다.

이와 함께 행사장 일원에서는 문화·관광 홍보관과 농특산물 판매관, 체험 부스 등이 운영돼 관람객들에게 다양한 즐길거리를 제공했다. 예천군문화회관과 한천 일대에서는 공연과 버스킹이 이어지며 축제 분위기를 더했다.
