군은 7일 경산시민회관 대강당에서 열린 ‘제54회 보건의 날 기념행사’에서 최고상인 ‘대상’을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
이번 수상은 ‘건강이 기본이 되는 사회, 모두가 누리는 대한민국’을 슬로건으로 한 보건의 날을 맞아, 예천군이 지난 1년간 추진해 온 보건의료 정책 전반에서 탁월한 성과를 거둔 점이 높이 평가된 결과다. 특히 지역보건체계의 완성도와 정책 실행력이 동시에 인정받았다.
예천군은 지난해 ▲한국건강지수(KHI) 정신건강 위험관리 전국 1위 ▲국가암검진 수검률 경북 1위 ▲의약안전관리 최우수 ▲금연지원서비스 최우수 ▲치매극복관리사업 최우수 및 민관협력 우수 ▲공공의료 분야 우수 ▲기생충 퇴치사업 우수 등 보건복지부와 질병관리청, 경상북도 평가에서 총 12개 분야에 걸쳐 최우수 및 우수 성과를 달성했다.
또한 감염병 대응과 예방접종, 암 검진, 치매·정신건강 관리, 아동·청소년 건강관리 등 생애주기 전반을 아우르는 예방 중심 공공보건체계를 구축해 군민 건강 수준 향상에 기여한 점도 주요 성과로 꼽힌다.
이 같은 결과는 지역 특성에 맞춘 맞춤형 보건 서비스와 현장 중심 대응체계가 유기적으로 작동한 데 따른 것으로 분석된다.
임미란 예천군보건소장은 “이번 대상 수상은 군민과 보건 인력 모두가 함께 만들어낸 값진 성과”라며 “앞으로도 예방 중심의 보건의료체계를 강화하고 생애주기별 건강관리 정책을 지속 확대해 군민이 체감할 수 있는 서비스를 제공하겠다”고 말했다.

Last year, Yecheon County achieved top and excellent ratings across a total of 12 categories in evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. These included ranking first nationwide in the Korea Health Index (KHI) mental health risk management, first in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province for the national cancer screening participation rate, receiving the highest rating for pharmaceutical safety management, the highest rating for smoking cessation support services, the highest rating for dementia management projects and excellent public-private cooperation, excellent public healthcare, and excellent parasite eradication projects.
