2020년부터 추진해 온 전선지중화 사업은 2026년 상반기 준공을 목표로 막바지에 들어섰다. 총사업비 200억 원(한전·통신사 분담 포함)이 투입되는 대규모 정비사업으로, 중앙로·시장로 일대 2.1km(113억 원)는 이미 완료돼 도시경관과 보행 환경이 크게 개선됐다.
