【브레이크뉴스 예천】이성현 기자=예천군(군수 김학동)은 지난달 30일부터 이달 4일까지 6일간 예천진호양궁장에서 열린 ‘2026년 양궁 국가대표 2차 선발전’이 성황리에 마무리됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 대한양궁협회가 주최했으며, 1차 선발전을 통과한 리커브 남녀 각 64명과 컴파운드 남녀 각 32명 등 전국 최정상급 궁사들이 참가해 기량을 겨뤘다.

경기는 기록경기·리그전·토너먼트전 결과를 종합해 평균 기록에 따른 배점을 부여하는 방식으로 진행됐다. 단순한 승패뿐 아니라 꾸준한 경기력과 정확도를 평가받는 만큼, 치열한 경쟁이 펼쳐졌다.

그 결과, 내년 3월 열리는 3차 최종선발전에 참가할 예비 국가대표 20명이 확정됐으며, 이 가운데 상위 8명은 진천국가대표선수촌에 입촌해 동계훈련에 돌입하게 된다.

리커브 남자부에서는 김우진(청주시청) 선수가 변함없는 기량으로 1위를 차지했고, 예천군청의 김제덕 선수가 2위에 올라 고향 팬들의 큰 응원을 받았다. 또 같은 소속의 장지호 선수가 7위를 기록하며 국가대표선수촌 입촌 자격을 획득, 의미 있는 성과를 거뒀다.

리커브 여자부에서는 강채영(현대모비스) 선수가 정확도 높은 경기력을 앞세워 1위를 차지했으며, 안산(텐텐양궁단), 임시현(한국체육대학교) 선수가 각각 그 뒤를 이었다.

김학동 예천군수는 “예천은 한국 양궁의 뿌리이자 미래”라며 “세계 무대를 향하는 국가대표들이 예천에서 선발된 것은 매우 뜻깊은 일”이라고 말했다. 이어 “앞으로도 최고의 경기 환경을 조성해 선수들이 세계 무대에서 빛날 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
