【브레이크뉴스 예천】이성현 기자=예천군(군수 김학동)은 2026년 4월 개최하는 ‘제64회 경북도민체육대회’ 를 위해 지난 1월 도민체전TF팀을 신설하고 대회 준비에 박차를 가하고 있다고 14일 밝혔다.

제64회 경북도민체육대회는 도내 22개 시군에서 참가하여 30개 종목의 경기가 예천군과 공동개최지인 안동시 각 경기장에서 펼쳐질 예정이다.

예천군은 지난 3월 도민체전 기본계획을 수립하고 14일 오후 2시에 군청 3층 회의실에서 부서장 및 유관기관 관계자 등 40여 명이 참석한 가운데 도민체육대회 기본계획 전달 회의를 개최했다.

내년에 개최되는 도민체육대회가 화합․희망․경제․문화․행복 체전을 지향하는 대회가 되도록 분야별 주요업무를 중심으로 편성된 32개반에 분장업무 및 협조사항을 전달했고, 향후 세부 추진계획을 마련하여 도민체전이 성공적으로 개최될 수 있도록 준비해 나갈 예정이다.

한편, 예천군은 제64회 경북도민체육대회를 상징적으로 표현할 수 있는 상징물(엠블럼,마스코트,포스터,슬로건)을 5월 경 전국민 공모 추진으로 계획하여 사전 분위기를 조성해 나가고 있다.

김미라 예천군 체육사업소장은“체전의 효과를 극대화하기 위해 경기장 및 체육시설, 관광, 문화, 교통, 숙박, 편의시설 등 점검․정비를 철저히 하여 성공적인 행사가 개최되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.

김학동 예천군수는 “도청이전 10주년을 기념해 2026년 예천․안동에서 공동으로 개최하는 제64회 경북도민체육대회를 안동시와 잘 협의하고 준비해서 300만 도민과 체육인들이 화합하는 축제가 되었으면 한다”며, “예천을 홍보하고 지역경제 활성화에도 크게 이바지하는 것은 물론 상생 발전해 나갈 수 있도록 노력하고 빈틈없이 준비해 나가겠다”고 전했다.

Kim Hak-dong, the governor of Yecheon County, said, “In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the relocation of the provincial government office, I hope that the 64th Gyeongbuk Provincial Athletic Meet, which will be jointly held in Yecheon and Andong in 2026, will be held in close consultation with Andong City and that it will become a festival where 3 million residents and athletes can come together in harmony.” He added, “I will make thorough preparations so that it can not only promote Yecheon and greatly contribute to the revitalization of the local economy, but also work hard so that we can develop together.”
