이번 프로그램은 청소년기 인권 감수성을 기반으로 한 실천 중심 교육을 통해 인권에 대한 이해를 높이고, 자기주장을 바탕으로 한 긍정적인 자아 형성을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다. 아울러 또래 간 상호 존중과 합리적 사고를 토대로 건강한 관계 형성을 돕는 데 목적이 있다.

교육은 지난 4월 10일 방과후아카데미를 시작으로 오는 11월까지 진행되며, 다함께돌봄센터 6개소와 지역아동센터 7개소를 이용하는 청소년 약 300명을 대상으로 한다.

프로그램은 시설별 특성과 대상 연령을 고려한 6개 주제의 맞춤형 모듈로 구성된 찾아가는 방문 교육 방식으로 운영된다.

주요 교육 내용은 인권의 정의를 비롯해 차이와 차별, 평화를 지킬 권리, 성평등, 참여권, 노동인권 등 청소년기에 필수적으로 알아야 할 인권 전반을 아우른다. 이와 함께 권리에 따른 책임과 의무에 대한 이해를 높이는 내용도 포함된다.

예천군 관계자는 “이번 교육을 통해 청소년들이 자신의 권리를 올바르게 이해하고 스스로를 존중하는 태도를 기르는 것은 물론, 일상 속 다양한 인권 문제에 주체적으로 대응할 수 있는 역량을 갖추길 기대한다”고 말했다.

The education began with the After-School Academy on April 10 and will continue until this coming November, targeting approximately 300 youths utilizing six Community Care Centers and seven Regional Children's Centers.

The program is conducted via a visiting education method, consisting of six customized modules on specific themes tailored to the characteristics of each facility and the target age group. The main educational content covers the overall human rights that are essential to know during adolescence, including the definition of human rights, differences and discrimination, the right to maintain peace, gender equality, the right to participation, and labor rights. It also includes content designed to enhance understanding of the responsibilities and obligations that accompany these rights.

An official from Yecheon County stated, "Through this education, we hope that young people will not only correctly understand their rights and cultivate an attitude of self-respect, but also acquire the capacity to proactively respond to various human rights issues in their daily lives."
