더욱 놀라운 점은 보수의 텃밭이라 불리는 이곳에서의 이재명 대통령의 국정운영에 대한 긍정평가다. 실제, 과거보다 눈에 띄게 높아졌다. KBS 조사에서 대구경북 지역민 59%가 이재명 대통령이 국정운영을 잘한다고 답했다. 못한다며 부정적으로 평가한 이들은 31%에 그쳤고, 모르겠다며 답을 유보한 사람들은 11%에 지나지 않았다. TK 에서의 59% 긍정평가는 처음 있는 일이다.
