【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구를 찾은 조국혁신당 조국 혁신정책연구원장이 지역 국민의힘 정치인들을 향해 강도 높은 비판을 쏟아냈다.

3일 오후 대구 수성구 사회적 협동조합 '지식과 세상'에서 기자들과 만난 조국 연구원장이 "12·3 계엄 사태 당시 친내란적 발언을 한 국민의힘 정치인들이 지금까지 TK 정치를 장악하고 있다"고 말했다.

그는 "국민의힘 출신 TK 지역 정치 책임자들은 내란 국면에서 상상하기 어려운 발언을 했다"며 "당시 개인적으로 글을 올리거나 대중 집회에서 한 발언 모두가 반헌법적·친내란적이었다"고 지적했다.

이어 "내란 세력 척결은 단순히 특검이나 형사 처벌의 문제가 아니라 정치적 문제이기도 하다"며 "이들이 30년 동안 지역 정치를 쥐고 있는 동안 지역 경제가 어떻게 변했는지 묻고 싶다"고 덧붙였다.

조 원장은 국민의힘 전체에 대해서도 날선 비판을 이어갔다. 그는 "지금의 국민의힘은 보수 정당이라고 보기 어렵다"며 "당 내 다수 의원과 당원 상당수가 극우 성향이거나 친일, 사이비 종교와 연계돼 있으며, 이런 세력의 지지를 받고 있다"고 평가했다.

장동혁 국민의힘 대표에 대해서는 "이분이 1.5선 정치인임에도 대표가 된 것은 전한길 전 강사에게 머리를 숙이고 면접을 본 뒤 윤석열 복당을 약속하는 방식으로 표를 얻었기 때문 아니겠나"고 비판했다.

또 전한길 씨의 대구시장 출마설에 대해서는 "국민의힘의 현 주소를 보여주는 동시에 대구 시민을 모독하는 것"이라며 "국민의힘의 비극이고, 대구의 비극이며, 보수의 비극"이라고 강한 거부감을 드러냈다.

더불어민주당과의 합당과 관련해서는 "합당론을 주장한 바 없다"며 "이념, 정책, 비전이 맞아야 합당을 하는 것인데, 지금 시점에서는 서로 다르기 때문에 달리 있는 것 아니겠나"라고 선을 그었다.

조국 연구원장은 "정상적인 보수와 진보가 대구 정치와 대한민국 정치를 바르게 이끌 수 있도록 시민들이 결단을 내려야 한다"고 말했다.

He stated, "The current People Power Party cannot be considered a conservative party," adding, "A significant number of its members and lawmakers are far-right, pro-Japanese, or affiliated with pseudo-religious groups, and they enjoy the support of these groups."

He criticized Jang Dong-hyuk, the leader of the People Power Party, saying, "This person, a 1.5-term politician, became the leader because he kowtowed to former lecturer Jeon Han-gil for an interview and then promised to bring Yoon Seok-yeol back to the party, winning votes."

He also strongly opposed the rumors of Jeon Han-gil running for Daegu mayor, stating, "It both reveals the current state of the People Power Party and insults the citizens of Daegu."

Chairman Cho concluded by emphasizing, "Citizens must make a decision so that proper conservatives and progressives can lead Daegu politics and the politics of the Republic of Korea in the right direction."
