13일 국민의힘 대구시당 이인선 위원장과 주요 당직자 80여 명은 수성시장과 목련시장을 차례로 방문해 전통시장 장보기 행사를 진행했다.

이날 행사에서 이 위원장과 당직자들은 제수용품과 생활필수품을 직접 구입하며 상인들과 일일이 대화를 나눴다. 

상인들은 경기 침체로 인한 어려움과 현장의 고충을 털어놨다. 국민의힘 측은 설 명절 위축된 소비 심리를 살리고, 시민들이 전통시장을 더 많이 찾을 수 있도록 독려하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다.

이인선 위원장은 “설을 맞아 시민들이 전통시장에서 따뜻한 정을 나누고, 지역경제도 함께 살릴 수 있었으면 한다”며 “현장에서 들은 목소리를 정책에 반영해 민생 회복을 위한 실질적인 지원책을 고민하겠다”고 말했다.

대구시당은 앞으로도 전통시장과 골목상권 등 민생 현장을 꾸준히 찾아, 지역경제 활성화와 시민 체감형 정당 활동을 이어가겠다고 밝혔다.

The Daegu City Chapter of the People Power Party visited traditional markets ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday to encourage merchants.

On the 13th, Lee In-sun, chair of the Daegu City Chapter of the People Power Party, and approximately 80 key party officials visited Suseong Market and Mokryeon Market in succession to hold a traditional market shopping event.

During the event, Lee and party officials directly purchased ancestral rites items and daily necessities and spoke with merchants one by one.

The merchants shared their struggles due to the economic downturn and their own hardships. The People Power Party expressed its commitment to revitalizing depressed consumer sentiment and encouraging citizens to visit traditional markets more often.

Chairman Lee In-sun stated, "I hope that citizens can share warm feelings at traditional markets during the Lunar New Year holiday and help revitalize the local economy. We will reflect the feedback we've heard from the field in our policies and devise practical support measures to restore people's livelihoods."

The Daegu City Party announced that it will continue to visit traditional markets and alleyways to actively revitalize the local economy and engage citizens in party activities.
