대구시는 최근 급변하는 유통환경 변화에 대응하기 위해 ‘대구로’를 통한 온라인 주문·배송 플랫폼을 지난해부터 전통시장으로 확대 운영하고 있다.

 전통시장 활성화를 위한 이번 행사는 직접 시장에 가지 않고도 대구로를 통해 온라인으로 상품 주문 시 즉시 3천 원 할인 혜택을 제공하는 것으로 오는 31일까지 매일 쿠폰 3만 매를 발급해 시민들에게 전통시장 온라인 주문·배송 플랫폼 이용을 적극적으로 홍보할 계획이다. 

3월 현재 ‘대구로’에는 17개 시장, 292개 점포가 입점해 다양한 상품을 선보이고 있다. 입점을 희망하고 준비 중인 시장까지 포함하면 올해 연말까지 30개 이상의 전통시장이 입점할 것으로 예상돼 전통시장 매출 증대에도 크게 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

안중곤 대구시 경제국장은 “온라인 쇼핑의 급성장 등 유통환경의 변화로 어려움을 겪고 있는 전통시장을 활성화하기 위해 ‘대구로’를 통한 온라인 주문·배송 플랫폼을 더욱 확대하여 전통시장이 활기를 되찾을 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
