대구보건대는 24일 오전 본관 3층 대회의실에서 ‘글로컬대학30 추진’을 위한 사업 설명회를 개최해 구체적인 사업 추진 계획과 절차에 대해 논의했다고 24일 밝혔다.
‘글로컬 대학30’은 교육부가 대학과 지역‧산업 간, 국내와 국외 간 벽을 허물고, 지역‧산업과의 네트워크를 기반으로 대학‧지역의 동반 성장을 이끌어 갈 대학을 글로컬 대학으로 지정해 지원하고자 마련된 사업이다.
지난 18일 교육부는 글로컬대학위원회와 ‘글로컬대학 30 추진방안’을 발표하고 2026년까지 글로컬대학 30곳을 지정해 학교당 5년간 약 1천억 원을 지원할 계획이라고 밝혔고 이에 대구보건대는 사업설명회를 통해 대도약을 위한 혁신 추진 체계 운영 방안, 지자체․산업체․대학 협력을 위한 방안 등을 모색에 나섰다.
남성희 대구보건대학교 총장은 “이번 설명회를 기점으로 글로컬대학30 사업의 성공을 위해 전체 교직원 모두가 하나로 똘똘 뭉쳐야 한다”며 “대학 내․외부 경계를 허물고 산학협력 허브 역할을 통해 지역의 혁신과 발전에 기여할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
