【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희)가 글로컬대학 실행계획 수립을 위한 공청회를 개최했다고 24일 밝혔다.

글로컬대학 본 지정에 총력을 기울이고 있는 대구보건대학교는 지난 23일 오후 2시 본관 3층 대회의실에서 재학생들의 의견을 청취하기 위한 공청회를 실시했다.

이날 행사에는 총 257명의 학생들이 참석한 가운데 글로컬대학 중점 추진 과제와 대학의 혁신 방향을 공유하는 시간을 가졌다.

글로컬미래융합대학지원단 김정수 단장은 특히 학생들의 큰 관심을 받고 있는 교육 혁신 분야에 대해 설명하며, 대구보건대학교-광주보건대학교-대전보건대학교가 ‘한달빛 글로컬 보건연합대학’을 결성해 전문과정 연합 운영과 지역별 특화 캠퍼스 운영 계획을 소개했다. 

또한 연합대학을 통해 산업 수요에 따른 유사 학과 통폐합, 보건의료 핵심 산업과 융합 인력 양성을 위한 가상 학과 운영, 캠퍼스 간 전과 허용으로 학생들의 지역·학과 선택권을 보장하는 구조조정 방안을 설명했다.

학생들은 이에 대한 다양한 질문과 의견을 적극적으로 제시하며 높은 관심을 드러냈다. 지난 4월부터 교직원과 지역민들을 대상으로 공청회를 실시하고 의견을 청취하는 등 실행계획서를 구체화해온 대학은 이번 공청회에서 논의된 재학생들의 의견을 반영해 더욱 실질적인 실행계획을 수립할 예정이다.

글로컬미래융합대학지원단 김정수 단장은 “우리 대학은 앞으로도 지속적인 소통과 협력을 통해 학생들에게 최상의 교육 환경을 제공할 계획”이라며 “이번 재학생 대상 공청회가 글로컬대학 실행계획 수립에 중요한 전환점이 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
