【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=글로컬대학 대구보건대학교(총장 남성희) 응급구조학과가 지난 6월 17일 본관 3층 대회의실에서 '제1회 생명의 별 선서식'을 성황리에 개최했다.

이번 행사는 첫 현장실습을 앞둔 2학년 재학생들에게 1급 응급구조사로서의 사명감과 직업적 자긍심, 그리고 생명과 안전을 지키는 전문직 윤리의식을 심어주기 위해 마련됐다.

선서식에는 남성희 대구보건대학교 총장, 이정영 경영부총장, 강용수 대한응급구조사협회장, 김경태 강북소방서 대응구조과장, 박대현 국군의무학교 세이브센터장 등 60여 명의 관계자가 참석해 예비 응급구조사들의 첫 발걸음을 격려했다.

행사는 남성희 총장의 촛불 점화를 시작으로 ▲생명의 별 선서 낭독 ▲현직 1급 응급구조사와 학과 교수진의 배지 수여 순으로 진행됐다.

남성희 대구보건대학교 총장은 축사를 통해 "응급구조사는 생명을 다루는 막중한 책임을 지닌 전문가"라며, "선서문의 내용을 가슴에 새기고, 훌륭한 응급의료전문가로 성장해 나가길 바란다"고 당부했다.

서혜진 응급구조학과장은 "앞으로도 학생들이 생명 존중의 가치를 실천하는 응급구조사로 성장할 수 있도록 학과 교수진은 최선을 다하겠다"고 포부를 밝혔다.

대구보건대학교 응급구조학과는 2024년에 신설되어 지역 응급의료체계의 핵심 인력인 1급 응급구조사 양성을 목표로 하고 있다. 표준화 교육과정과 비교과 과정으로 다양한 국제 자격증 취득 교육을 운영하고 있으며, 최신 응급의료 시뮬레이션 교육장을 갖춰 실습 중심 교육을 강화하고 있다.

Global University Daegu Health College (President Nam Sung-hee) Emergency Medical Services Department successfully held the '1st Star of Life Oath Ceremony' on June 17th in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the main building.

This event was designed to instill a sense of mission and professional pride as a first-class emergency medical services engineer, as well as professional ethics to protect life and safety, in second-year students who are about to begin their first field training.

About 60 people, including President Nam Sung-hee of Daegu Health College, Vice President of Management Lee Jung-young, President of the Korean Emergency Medical Services Association Kang Yong-soo, Response and Rescue Section Chief Kim Gyeong-tae of Gangbuk Fire Station, and Save Center Director Park Dae-hyun of the Armed Forces Medical School, attended the oath ceremony to encourage the prospective emergency medical services engineers to take their first steps.

The event began with the lighting of a candle by President Nam Seong-hee, followed by ▲ reading the Star of Life Oath ▲ awarding badges to current first-class emergency medical technicians and faculty members.

In his congratulatory address, President Nam Seong-hee of Daegu Health College said, “Emergency medical technicians are professionals who have the serious responsibility of dealing with life,” and urged them to “keep the contents of the oath in their hearts and grow into excellent emergency medical technicians.”

Dean Seo Hye-jin of the Department of Emergency Medical Services expressed her aspiration by saying, “The department’s faculty will continue to do their best so that students can grow into emergency medical technicians who practice the value of respecting life.”

The Department of Emergency Medical Services at Daegu Health College was newly established in 2024 and aims to train first-class emergency medical technicians, who are key personnel in the local emergency medical system. It operates various international qualification acquisition education through standardized and non-curricular courses, and strengthens practical education by having the latest emergency medical simulation training center.

Through this oath-taking ceremony, we hope that students in the Department of Emergency Medical Services at Daegu Health College will grow into professional talents who will contribute to the development of emergency medical services in the local community based on the noble spirit of respect for life.
