【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교(총장 남성희) Hi-FiVE HiVE센터는 ‘동물 미용관리사 양성 프로그램 수료식’을 개최했다고 11일 밝혔다.

지난 11일 오후 6시 영송관 1511호에서는 고등직업교육거점지구(HiVE) 사업의 일환으로 반려동물 관련 산업의 전망과 현황을 이해하고 실무능력을 배양하기 위해 마련된 ‘반려동물 미용관리사 양성 프로그램’의 수료식이 열렸다.

지난 4월부터 6월까지 8주간 진행된 프로그램에는 구직자, 경력단절 인력, 신중년 재취업자 등 25명이 참여하였으며 이들은 전원이 교육을 수료하며 유종의 미를 거뒀다.

강의는 반려동물산업의 전망과 현황, 브러싱·관리, 애견미용의 기초, 미용실무, 애견미용 등 다양한 주제로 구성됐다.

강사진은 대구보건대학교 반려동물보건관리학과 정이랑 학과장, 뷰티앤도그쇼 김미정 대표, 댕이쌀롱 김송이 대표가 참여했다.

서화자 교육생은 “이번 교육을 통해 반려동물의 위생과 건강을 위해 정기적인 관리가 필요하다는 것을 알게 돼 큰 도움이 됐다”며, “열정과 성의를 다해 교육해주신 강사진들에게 감사의 마음을 전하고 싶다”는 소감을 밝혔다.

반려동물보건관리학과 정이랑 학과장은 "이번 교육을 통해 반려동물 연관 산업의 성장에 맞춰, 일자리를 찾는 지역 주민들에게 배움의 장과 기회를 제공할 수 있어 기쁘다”며 “동물 미용관리사 전문 인력 양성을 통해 지역사회의 요구와 지역 주민의 필요를 모두 충족할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
