이번 행사는 메디시티 대구의 우수한 의료기술을 세계에 알리고 지역 의료산업을 육성하기 위해 마련됐다.
몽골, 카자흐스탄, 태국 등 아시아 태평양지역 의료관계자 100여명을 비롯한 국내외 10개국 360여명의 연수생들이 참가하였으며 안티에이징 의료기술에 대한 전문 강연 및 기술연수, 실습 체험 등을 위한 기회를 제공했다.
영남대병원 성형외과 이준호 과장은 투철한 사명감 및 봉사정신으로 지역사회 발전에 앞장섰으며 APAAC의 성공적인 개최 및 지역 의료산업발전에 기여한 공을 인정받아 이번 상을 수상한 것으로 알려진다.
