【브레이크뉴스 대구 】박은정 기자=영남대병원(병원장 신경철)은 신경외과 유동우 교수, 박소희 교수가 제62차 대한신경외과학회 추계학술대회에서 각각 최고 논문상을 수상했다고 25일 밝혔다.
유동우 교수는 척추 부문 최우수 학술상인 정환영 학술상을, 박소희 교수는 정위기능 부문 최우수 학술상인 정상섭 학술상을 수상했다.
정환영 학술상은 최근 2년간 발표된 척추부문 논문 중에서 가장 우수한 논문을 게재한 신경외과 의사에게 수여되는 상으로 유동우 교수는 영남대병원 신경외과 전익찬, 김상우 교수와 함께 ‘골다공증성 척추 압박 골절에서 진행성 척추체 붕괴의 예측인자로서의 척추 주위 근육 지방 변성’ 이라는 제목의 논문으로 학술상을 수상했다.
상기 논문은 척추 부문 최고의 학술지인 ‘The Spine Journal’ 2022년 2월호에 게재되었다.
박소희 교수는 치매환자의 뇌혈관 장벽을 여는 기술의 효용성과 안전성을 확인한 국내 임상연구 결과 발표로 수상 영예를 안았다.
박 교수와 장진우 세브란스병원 신경외과 교수 연구팀은 지난 2020년 중등도 및 증증 알츠하이머병 환자 5명을 대상으로 뇌혈관 장벽 개방술을 3개월 간격으로 2차례 시행하여 개방술 전후 아밀로이드-베타 단백질 침착 정도가 양전자단층촬영(PET) 검사상 1.6% 정도 감소한 것을 확인했다.

Professor Sohee Park was honored with her award for the presentation of the results of a domestic clinical study that confirmed the efficacy and safety of the technology for opening the blood-brain barrier in dementia patients.
A research team led by Professor Park and Professor Jin-Woo Jang of Neurosurgery at Severance Hospital performed cerebrovascular barrier opening twice at 3-month intervals in 5 patients with moderate and severe Alzheimer's disease in 2020. It was confirmed that the decrease was about 1.6% in the tomography (PET) examination.
