【브레이크뉴스 대구】박은정 기자=영남대병원(병원장 신경철)은 ‘2021년도 금연치료 협력 우수기관’으로 선정됐다고 5일 밝혔다.

보건복지부와 국민건강보험공단은 금연치료 참여기관의 사기진작과 금연상담 서비스 질 향상을 위해 참여기관에 대한 인증을 실시한다.

2021년도 금연치료 참여기관 중 지역별, 기관 종별 참여자 등록 및 프로그램 이수 건수의 합계가 높은 기관을 매년 선정하고 있다.

영남대병원 대구금연지원센터는 2018년부터 2021년에도 금연치료서비스 실적에서 두드러진 성과를 나타내어 금연치료 협력 우수기관으로 4회 연속 선정됐다.

또 2020년 17개의 지역금연지원센터 중 최우수 센터로 지정, 성과대회에서도 ‘대상’을 수상하는 등 사업에 큰 성과를 이루고 있다.

이관호 센터장은 “영남대병원 대구금연지원센터는 지속적인 금연치료와 다양한 맞춤형 금연지원서비스를 제공함으로써 금연 성공률에 이바지하고 있다”며, “금연의 중요성에 대한 인식 고취를 위하여 금연지원서비스 외에 지역사회 내 여러 기관과의 연계로 금연교육과 홍보활동을 실시하여 시민의 금연 성공과 건강실천에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
