이번 평가에서 경산시는 삼성현로 가로경관개선사업, 옥산2지구 유해환경 개선사업 외 다수의 유해환경 개선 및 공공디자인 사업을 추진해 아름답고 안전한 도시 만들기에 기여한 점이 높은 평가를 받은 것으로 알려진다.
경산시는 내년도 경관계획 재정비 용역, 시가지 야간 경관 사업 기본구상 용역 외 다수의 도시디자인사업을 추진할 예정이다.
조현일 경산시장은 “경산시 경관디자인 발전을 위해 지역주민들과 유관기관 등의 협업 및 직원들의 노력이 있었기에 이룬 결과”라며 “변화하는 도시 경관에 맞춰 계획 및 가이드라인을 수립하고, 지역 맞춤 특화사업을 꾸준히 발굴할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
