【브레이크뉴스 대구경북 】이성현 기자= 2023년 가는 해를 보내고 새로운 해를 맞이하기 위한 해맞이 행사가 대구와 경북 곳곳에서 개최될 예정이다. 코로나 기간에는 열리지 않았던 만큼 공식적인 대부분의 지자체가 이번에는 해맞이 행사를 실시한다. 

대구에서는 대표적인 해맞이 장소인 동구 해맞이 동산에서 1월1일 아침 7시부터 행사를 시작하고, 수성구와 달서구, 남구 앞산과 북구 및 달성 등지에서도 해맞이 명소에서 행사를 개최한다.

경북에서는 호미곶과 영덕 삼사해상공원 21개 시군에서 해맞이 행사가 예정되어 있다. 다만, 경북도는 조류인플루엔자와 ‘럼피스킨’ 예방을 위해 도 차원의 행사는 실시하지 않는다. 

일출 명소인 포항 호미곶에서는 31일부터 내년 1월 1일까지 ‘호미곶 한민족해맞이축전’을 개최한다. 경주에서도 봉황대 일원에서 31일 밤 ‘제야의 종 타종식’을 시작으로 1월 1일 문무대왕릉 일원에서 ‘신년 해룡축제’를 가진다.

구미시는 31일부터 동락공원 광장에서 ‘새해맞이 시민안녕행복기원행사’ 열고, 청송(양수발전소 상부댐)과 영덕(삼사해상공원), 고령(대가야생활촌), 성주(가야산 역사신화공원), 칠곡(공예테마공원), 울진(망양정 해수욕장), 봉화(장소 미정) 등에서도 타종식과 해맞이 행사를 실시할 예정이다.

새해맞이 행사도 곳곳에서 펼쳐진다.    

김천시는 김천시민대종에서 새해맞이 타종식을 갖고, 안동시는 안동국제컨벤션센터에서 해맞이를 개최하고, 영주와 상주, 문경, 경산, 의성, 영양, 예천, 울릉 등에서도 행사가 예정되어 있다.

한편, 코로나 이후 시도민이 대거 참여하는 대규모 행사가 동시에 개최되면서 안전에 대한 경각심도 요구되고 있다. 

경북도의회 정경민 의원은 지난 11일 열린 제343회 제2차 정례회와 제3차 문화환경위원회 2023년도 경상북도 제3회 추가경정 예산안 및 조례안, 동의안 및 심사에서 “해마다 같은 행사라 할지라도 기후 변화와 환경적 영향 등으로 인해 행사의 규모가 달라질 수 있음을 감안해야 한다”며 “다가오는 2024년1월1일 해맞이 행사의 경우 ‘쳥룡의 해’ 라는 의미와 총선 등으로 더욱더 인파가 몰릴 것으로 예상이 되는 만큼 안전에 대비하는 철저한 점검과 계획이 필요하다”고 집행부의 각별한 주의와 점검을 요구했다.

또한 예산결산위원회에서는 박규탁(비례, 문화환경위원회 부위원장)의원도 “해맞이 축제에 안전 문제가 제기되고 있다”고 말하고 “재난안전실은 물론, 자치행정국 등은 모든 방법을 동원해 안전 점검은 물론, 대비에 만전을 기해야 할 것”이라고 주문했다. 

이에 대하여 경북도는 “주민들이 대거 몰릴 것으로 예상되는 만큼 안전 문제에 최고의 집중력을 발휘해 안전한 새해를 맞이할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
