【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구의료원(원장 김시오)은 지난 4일 정부의 의대 정원 증원에 반발해 진료 현장을 이탈한 전공의 3명의 사직서를 수리했다고 5일 밝혔다.
대구의료원에 따르면 지난 2월 의사협회의 집단행동 이후 대구의료원 소속 전공의 4명이 사직서를 제출하였고, 의료원의 정상 진료를 위해 그동안 해당 전공의들의 병원 복귀를 위한 수차례 설득이 있어 왔다.
사직서를 제출한 전공의 중 1명은 복귀했으나, 미복귀 전공의 3명에 대해서는 정부의 행정처분 중단이 결정됨에 따라 의료원의 신속한 정상 진료와 시민 불편을 최소화하기 위해 즉각적으로 사직서를 수리하게 됐다.
김시오 대구의료원장은 “지난 4개월간 전문의 중심의 비상진료체계로 진료 공백을 최소화했지만, 전공의 미복귀에 따른 진료 공백과 불확실성을 해소하기 위해 이같이 결정하게 됐다”고 말했다.
