지난 7개월간 대구시는 지역 의료계와의 협력을 통해 의료공백이 발생하지 않도록 노력해왔다.

6월 전국 최초로 중중 응급환자 골든타임 확보를 위해 의료기관 간 합의를 통해 응급환자 이송·수용지침을 마련했으며 중증환자 신속이송시스템(다중이송전원협진망)을 가동해 병원 선정이 어려운 중증 응급환자를 이송하고 있다. 

다중이송전원협진망을 통한 환자 이송을 우선적으로 적용해 타시도 대비 중증환자가 수용병원을 찾지 못해 장시간 이송 중 발생할 수 있는 사고를 방지하고 있다.

광역응급의료상황실을 통한 타지역 전원율도 7월 기준 전국 평균 28.4% 대비 20.3% 수준이다.

6개 센터급 병원장들이 참여하는 지역응급의료협의체와 응급질환 수용현황 모니터링을 통해 배후 최종 치료 수용력을 높이는 데도 노력하고 있다.

지난 3월에는 중증도별·진료과목별 전원 및 진료협력을 위해 전원 핫라인을 74개소에서 118개소로 확대했다. 기존의 대구형 응급의료체계와 병행해 중증도별 응급환자 이송은 물론 진료과별 입원환자 회복 정도에 따른 전원 회송을 강화했다.

대구시 관계자는 “타시도보다 지역 의료계와 오랜기간 신뢰와 협력을 통해 대구 책임형 응급의료체계 구축으로 현재까지 대구시 비상진료체계를 문제없이 유지하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있다”고 전했다.
