대한적십자사 경북지사 김재왕 회장은 “해당 사업은 경북도민이 십시일반 내어주신 적십자회비와 후원회비로 위기가정에 맞춤형 지원하고 있다”라며 “앞으로도 긴급한 상황에처한 이웃에 희망을 전해드릴 수 있도록 위기가정 발굴과 지원을 펼쳐 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 대한적십자사 ‘희망풍차 긴급지원’사업은 적십자 봉사원의 현장조사 및 행정기관 연계를 통해 복지사각지대에 놓인 취약계층 위기가정을 발굴하여 생계, 주거, 의료, 교육 분야별로 해당 가구의 긴급한 필요 상황에 적극 대응하는 맞춤형지원 프로그램이다.

경북적십자사는 2023년 총 186명 대상 약 2억6천7백만원을 긴급지원했으며, 올해 5월까지 37가구 대상 약 9,887만원의 긴급지원이 이루어졌다.
