【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=(사)대경ICT산업협회는 지난 11일, 대구 호텔인터불고에서 제5대 박윤하 회장((주)스피어AX 대표이사)의 이임식과 제6대 최종태 회장((주)코리아와이드ITS 대표이사) 취임식을 가졌다고 12일 밝혔다.

최종태 회장은 취임사를 통해 “해외에서 돈 벌어서 대구에서 세금내자” 며 협회 회원사들의 나아가야 할 방향을 해외사업 강화임을 강조했다. 이를 위해 최 회장은'파워풀 ICT / 글로벌 ON'이라는 슬로건 선포식도 가졌다.

최 회장은 “로컬에 기반을 둔 지역 ICT협회 회원사들의 미래먹거리 확보의 필수적인 방법은 글로벌 진출” 이라며 “이를위해 최 회장은 협회차원의 노력과 지원은 물론, 회원사들의 든든한 버팀목이 되겠다.”고 밝혔다.

아울러 그는 “협회 회원사인 ICT기업들이 지역경제 활성화를 위한 해외진출의 선수로 뛰는 만큼, 대구시는 물론, 관련기관들의 든든한 응원과 후견인으로서의 역할도 당부한다” 고 밝혔다.

마지막으로 최 회장은 “저마다의 노력으로 성장하는 회원사는 더 클 수 있도록 지원하고, 시작하는 회원사는 사업이 안착되도록 최종태 회장 스스로가 영업사원의 역할도 마다하지 않을 것”을 회원사들 앞에서 다짐했다.

(사)대경ICT산업협회 최종태 회장의 임기는 2024년 1월 1일부터 2년간이다.

한편 이날 이 취임식 행사에 앞서 (사)대경ICT산업협회(신임회장 최종태)와 (재)대구디지털혁신진흥원(원장 민정기)가 공동 주관하는 ‘2024년 지역SW기업 성과교류회 및 대경ICT인의 밤’ 행사도 열렸다.

행사에는 대구광역시 정장수 경제부시장, 대구광역시의회 경제환경위원회 김재용 위원장, 각 기관 및 협의단체 및 관련 ICT 기업 임직원 등 약 300여명이 참석했다.

2부인 ‘대경ICT인의 밤’ 행사에서는 지역 SW산업발전 유공자 표창도 가져 6개 부문에서 대구시장상이 수여됐다.

이외에도 (사)대경ICT산업협회 소속 회원사들은 국회의원상, 대구경북경제자유구역청장상, 대구경북지방중소벤처기업청장상을 비롯, 여러 기관장상을 받았다.

또한, 협회의 발전을 위해 노력한 수상자들은 협회장 감사패를 받았으며 협회 회원사 소속 우수임직원에 대한 시상도 진행하면서 어려운 경제여건속에서도 그간의 노고를 치하하며 격려했다.

(사)대경ICT산업협회는 대구/경북권 3백여 IT/CT 기업들로 구성된 단체로 정보와 지식, 사업 교류의 활성화를 위한 체계적인 커뮤니티를 구성하고 지역과 더불어 국가 경제발전에 이바지하기 위해 지난 2011년 설립된 단체다.

Choi Jong-tae Inaugurated as Chairman of Daegyeong ICT Industry Association

The Daegyeong ICT Industry Association announced on the 12th that it held the farewell ceremony for the 5th Chairman Park Yoon-ha (CEO of Spear AX Co., Ltd.) and the inauguration ceremony for the 6th Chairman Choi Jong-tae (CEO of Korea Wide ITS Co., Ltd.) at the Daegu Hotel Interburgo on the 11th.

In his inaugural speech, Chairman Choi Jong-tae emphasized that the direction that the association members should take is to strengthen overseas business, saying, “Let’s make money overseas and pay taxes in Daegu.” To this end, Chairman Choi also held a slogan declaration ceremony called “Powerful ICT / Global ON.”

Chairman Choi stated, “The essential way for local ICT association members to secure future food sources is to advance into the global market,” and “To this end, Chairman Choi will provide efforts and support at the association level, as well as be a strong supporter for the members.”

He also said, “As ICT companies, which are members of the association, are playing a leading role in overseas expansion to revitalize the local economy, I ask for strong support and a role as a guardian not only of Daegu City but also of related organizations.”

Finally, Chairman Choi pledged to the members, “We will support member companies that are growing through their own efforts to become bigger, and Chairman Choi Jong-tae himself will not hesitate to play the role of a salesperson for member companies that are just starting out so that their businesses can settle down.”

The term of office of Chairman Choi Jong-tae of the Daegyeong ICT Industry Association is two years, starting from January 1, 2024.

In the meantime, prior to this inauguration ceremony, the ‘2024 Regional SW Company Performance Exchange and Daegyeong ICT Night’ event, co-hosted by the Daegyeong ICT Industry Association (new Chairman Choi Jong-tae) and the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Agency (President Min Jeong-gi), was also held.

The event was attended by approximately 300 people, including Daegu Metropolitan City Economic Vice Mayor Jeong Jang-soo, Daegu Metropolitan City Council Economic Environment Committee Chairman Kim Jae-yong, and executives and staff from various organizations, consultative groups, and related ICT companies.

At the second part, the ‘Daegu ICT Night’ event, awards were given to those who contributed to the development of the local SW industry, and the Daegu Mayor’s Award was presented in six categories.

In addition, member companies of the Daegu ICT Industry Association received awards from various heads of organizations, including the National Assembly Member Award, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority Director Award, and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration Director Award.

In addition, award recipients who worked hard for the development of the association received plaques of appreciation from the association president, and awards were given to excellent executives and staff from association member companies, praising and encouraging them for their hard work despite the difficult economic conditions.

The Daegu/Gyeongbuk ICT Industry Association is an organization comprised of approximately 300 IT/CT companies in the Daegu/Gyeongbuk area. It was established in 2011 to form a systematic community for the promotion of information, knowledge, and business exchanges and to contribute to the economic development of the region and the nation.
